Is Brett Kavanaugh being “Roy Moored?”

Is Brett Kavanaugh being “Roy Moored?”

It was less than one year ago during the special election for U.S. Senate in Alabama when the Washington Post published a story of alleged sexual misconduct against Judge Roy Moore in Alabama. Moore was running as a Republican to fill the seat held by placeholder Senator Luther Strange. Strange, the former Alabama Attorney General, had been appointed to fill the vacancy left when Jeff Sessions was appointed U.S. Attorney General by now disgraced Alabama former Governor Robert Bentley. Under allegations of sexual misconduct of his own, Bentley was removed and replaced by Lt. Governor Kay Ivey. Under pressure from Alabamians, Ivey was compelled to hold a new election to find Sessions’s replacement, something the Alabama Constitution requires. Many thought it odd that Bentley would elevate Strange since the AG’s office was investigating Bentley on the very charges that would bring him down.

Gregg Jarrett: If Rod Rosenstein defies Trump’s order to declassify documents, he should be fired

Gregg Jarrett: If Rod Rosenstein defies Trump’s order to declassify documents, he should be fired

President Trump has ordered that numerous documents involving the Russia investigation be declassified.  The records have long been sought by Congress under lawful subpoenas.  Yet, the FBI and Department of Justice have consistently obstructed the release of these materials under the guise of “classified” secrets.  This is a convenient alibi all too frequently employed to cover-up wrongdoing and abuse of authority by those we entrust to uphold the law.

China has a ‘chilling’ system to control everyone

China’s chilling dictatorship is moving quickly to introduce social scorecards, in which all citizens will be monitored 24/7 and ranked on their behavior.  The Communist Party’s plan is for every one of its 1.4 billion citizens to be at the whim of a dystopian social credit system, and it’s on track to be fully operational by the year 2020.

Breaking: Obama Made ‘Secret Rules’ for Targeting Journalists with FISA Warrants

(Big League Politics) – President Donald Trump has been accused by the liberal corporate media of whipping up a hateful frenzy against the press. But while CNN’s Jim Acosta grandstands against Trump, real journalists are still reeling from the draconian extrajudicial measures that Barack Obama and his administration used to target them for exposing truth.

An Eleventh-Hour Ambush

Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation has, like that of Clarence Thomas before him, been thrown into chaos with an eleventh-hour allegation of sexual misconduct. Christine Blasey Ford, now a California professor of psychology, told the Washington Post over the weekend that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a high-school party in the 1980s. According to Ford, Kavanaugh and his Georgetown Prep classmate Mark Judge, both drunk, threw her in a room before Kavanaugh tried to take her clothes off and force himself on her. She says she escaped, hid in a bathroom, and left the party. He strenuously denies the allegation, as does Judge.

Kavanaugh, too? Christine Blasey Ford’s account is missing key details of assault

Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, doesn’t know when or where the attack against her occurred. We should listen to her, but we should also ask questions.

Something awful happened to Christine Blasey. At 15 years old, at a small gathering of partying high school students, she claims she was assaulted by two boys, one in particular who actually covered her mouth so no one could hear her scream.

It Wasn’t Comey’s Decision to Exonerate Hillary – It Was Obama’s

The thing to understand, what has always been the most important thing to understand, is that Jim Comey was out in front, but he was not calling the shots.

On the right, the commentariat is in full-throttle outrage over the revelation that former FBI Director Comey began drafting his statement exonerating Hillary Clinton in April 2016 – more than two months before he delivered the statement at his now famous July 5 press conference.

THE CLARENCE THOMAS INQUISITION REVISITED: BRETT KAVANAUGH IN EGYPT

The Preacher wrote: “That which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So, there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9).

There are lessons to be learned from an understanding of how the Bibledeals with false accusations, the use of evidence, and the biblical method of handling disputes.

Graham on Kavanaugh: Dems ‘Can’t Beat Him on the Law, So They’re Trying to Destroy His Life’

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham reacted Monday on “Hannity” to an allegation of sexual misconduct against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Graham, a Republican on the Judiciary Committee, said the allegation is “serious” but is also 36 years old.

Graham, who served as a military attorney before he was elected to the Senate, said a criminal case could not be brought because the allegation is too old and a civil suit would be problematic because it is too hard to prove.

Media Fail: FBI Not Interested in Feinstein’s Kavanaugh Hoax — but ‘Pro’ Journos Take the Bait

The FBI will not be investigating Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) last-second attempt to smear Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

After countless hours of hearings, a number of in-depth background checks, thousands of questions asked and answered, and numerous one-on-one meetings with senators of both parties, at the very last second Feinstein dramatically released a letter (she has reportedly had in her possession for months) to the FBI.

The #MeToo Kavanaugh Ambush

The woman accusing Brett Kavanaugh of a drunken assault when both were teenagers has now come forward publicly, and on Monday it caused Republicans to delay a confirmation vote and schedule another public hearing. Yet there is no way to confirm her story after 36 years, and to let it stop Mr. Kavanaugh’s confirmation would ratify what has all the earmarks of a calculated political ambush.

BRENNAN: FBI OFFICIALS ‘HAVE AN OBLIGATION’ TO ‘NOT FOLLOW’ TRUMP’S DECLASSIFICATION ORDER

Former CIA director John Brennan is calling on the FBI to “not follow” President Trump’s declassification order of material relating to the provenance of the Russia probe.

“Christopher Wray, director of the FBI and Dan Coats, director of national intelligence as well as Rod Rosenstein who is overseeing this investigation should push back against any directive that is going to have a negative impact on our capabilities as well as the investigation,” Brennan said Thursday. “I think that they should continue to push, push, push.”

Senator Dianne Feinstein of California conceded Tuesday that she can’t attest to the veracity of Christine Blasey Ford’s allegation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were in high school.

“[Ford] is a woman that has been, I think, profoundly impacted. On this . . . I can’t say that everything is truthful. I don’t know,” Feinstein told reporters on Capitol Hill when asked if she believed the allegation.

Bruce on Obama Taking Credit for Economy: He ‘Didn’t Understand How’ Trump’s Policies Would Work

Conservative commentator Tammy Bruce took issue with former President Obama taking credit for the burgeoning economy over the several months.

“We worked hard to turn this economy around. The actions that we took during the economic crisis” added to the economic growth, Obama said at a rally for Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Richard Cordray.

Bruce said Obama is speaking out and patting himself on the back because “he’s worried about his own legacy… about how he’s viewed.”
