Obama’s spying scandal is starting to look a lot like Watergate

F.B.I. Used Informant to Investigate Russia Ties to Campaign, Not to Spy, as Trump Claims,” read the headline on a lengthy New York Times story May 18. “The Justice Department used a suspected informant to probe whether Trump campaign aides were making improper contacts with Russia in 2016,” read a story in the May 21 edition of the Wall Street Journal.

Yes, Hillary Should Have Been Prosecuted

I know this is ancient history, but — I’m sorry — I just can’t let it go. When historians write the definitive, sordid histories of the 2016 election, the FBI, Hillary, emails, Russia, and Trump, there has to be a collection of chapters making the case that Hillary should have faced a jury of her peers.  The IG report on the Hillary email investigation contains the most thoughtful and thorough explanation of the FBI’s decision to recommend against prosecuting Hillary. At the risk of oversimplifying a long and complex discussion, the IG time and again noted that (among other things) the FBI focused on the apparent lack of intent to violate the law and the lack of a clear precedent for initiating a prosecution under similar facts. It also describes how the FBI wrestled with the definition of “gross negligence” — concluding that the term encompassed conduct “so gross as to almost suggest deliberate intention” or “something that falls just short of being willful.”

Rosenstein threatened to ‘subpoena’ GOP-led committee in ‘chilling’ clash over records, emails show

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to “subpoena” emails, phone records and other documents from lawmakers and staff on a Republican-led House committee during a tense meeting earlier this year, according to emails reviewed by Fox News documenting the encounter and reflecting what aides described as a “personal attack.”  The emails memorialized a January 2018 closed-door meeting involving senior FBI and Justice Department officials as well as members of the House Intelligence Committee. The account claimed Rosenstein threatened to turn the tables on the committee’s inquiries regarding the Russia probe.

Sarah Sanders Makes Laura Bush Regret Trump Attack: Your Husband Signed the Law

The complicated legal entanglements regarding illegal immigrants who get caught trying to bring their children to the United States have been reduced, more or less, to two separate sets of opinions: either separating children from their mothers while their cases are adjudicated is a human rights violation like never before or we should enforce the law until the problems with it are fixed by Congress.

Part of the great irony with the first argument is that many of the luminaries speaking out against enforcing what they see as unjust laws are associated with the individuals who passed the laws in the first place.

CBS NEWS BOMBSHELL: MARJORY DOUGLAS STUDENT LEADER WASN’T AT SCHOOL ON DAY OF THE MASS SHOOTING (VIDEO)

A new documentary by CBS News reveals that Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg, who has become the face of the student body’s push for gun control, was not at the school at the time of the shooting.  The bombshell comes from David Hogg himself, who made the admission to a CBS News interviewer as part of the documentary “39 Days.” The program chronicles the birth of the student-led “Never Again” movement that culminated in the “March for our Lives” in Washington D.C. on Saturday.

Baltimore mayor announces taxpayer-funded defense fund for illegal immigrants

Democratic Mayer Catherine Pugh announced on Wednesday that the city of Baltimore will begin to use public funds for the legal defense of illegal immigrants facing deportation.  Pugh’s statement comes less than a year after Baltimore prosecutors ordered staff not to charge illegal immigrants with minor, non-violent crimes on the grounds that the offenders would be deported.

WATCH: Parkland Student Complains Clear Backpacks Infringe On His Constitutional Rights

On Friday, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School left-wing activist David Hogg complained that the school’s new policy of making students use only clear backpacks after spring break infringes on his “First Amendment rights.”  Grabien News reported “Hogg appeared Friday at a gun control forum with Axios’s Mike Allen,” where he launched into varying off-topic political tirades, advocating for far-left Democratic positions.

How Obama is scheming to sabotage Trump’s presidency

When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.

In what’s shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popular “America First” agenda.

Obama envisions creating ‘a million young Barack Obamas’ during speech in Japan

Former President Barack Obama talked about his future plans for his post-presidency life at a conference Sunday in Japan, addressing how he might shape “a million” new, young leaders in his mold.  The wide-ranging discussion repeatedly touched on the Obama Foundation’s efforts to engage the digital space to help young people in the U.S. and across the world get connected. “If I could do that effectively, then — you know — I would create a hundred or a thousand or a million young Barack Obamas or Michelle Obamas,” Obama said. “Or, the next group of people who could take that baton in that relay race that is human progress.”

Trump might scrap Obama-era rule that turned schools into ‘war zones’

The Trump administration plans this summer to scrap a controversial Obama-era discipline rule forced on schools to close racial gaps in suspensions and arrests but that critics say pressures educators to turn a blind eye to escalating bad behavior.  The federal directive, issued jointly in 2014 by the US departments of Education and Justice, warned public school districts receiving federal funding — including New York City — that they could face investigation and funding cuts if they fail to reduce statistical “disparities” in discipline by race. On average, the administration noted, black students are suspended at three times the rate of their white peers. The directive also discourages student arrests and holds districts liable for the actions of “school resource officers … or other law enforcement personnel.”

Reps. Rush and Gutiérrez ordered to pay Treasury following congressional ethics probes

he House Ethics Committee asked two Democratic lawmakers from Illinois to pay the U.S. Treasury after investigations found one used office space in his district for nearly three decades without paying rent and the other paid a staffer-turned-contractor for work that was sometimes legislative in nature.  In lengthy reports released Thursday, the ethics panel reproved Reps. Bobby Rush and Luis Gutiérrez for violating House rules and called on them to pay $13,310 and $9,700, respectively. The committee will consider the matters closed once the payments have been made, the reports said.

Democrats Go To Supreme Court To Demand This One Strange Thing!

Read

Democrats are demanding they have a right to win.  Democrats are asking the court to enter the political realm and find, for the first time, that a legislative map is unconstitutional on partisan-related grounds.  What they are, in essence, saying is that it’s unfair a state which historically elected Democrats, is suddenly voting for Republicans.  Once again the Democrats are demanding equality of outcome, not a fair playing field.

Trump Discovers Elizabeth Warren Stole $5 BILLION From US Taxpayers – What She Did With It Is HORRIFYING

Read

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren’s biggest achievement from her time in Congress has been the creation of the Consumer Protection Financial Bureau, or CFPB, which was created to act as a watchdog for the financial industry following the 2008-09 financial crisis. Now, however, what she was really doing with the agency has been discovered, and it’s not good.

It was just reported that Trump just appointed Mick Mulvaney to head the CFPB. This is bad for Warren, considering that Mulvaney once called the agency a “joke” and said he does not think it should even exist. Mulvaney is the right man to run this agency, however, since he knows what a nightmare it really is.

REPORT: Obama stopped US task force from taking down Hezbollah’s criminal network in order to secure his Iran nuke deal

Read

An eye-opening report from Politico on Sunday proves the Obama administration was willing to do whatever it took to get its nuclear deal with Iran finalized, even if it meant putting American lives at risk.

According to Politico, the Obama administration turned a blind eye to Hezbollah’s drug-trafficking and money-laundering operations — some of which were unfolding inside the United States — to help ensure the Iran nuclear deal would be finalized.

A project led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, known as Project Cassandra, reportedly targeted the Lebanese militant group’s criminal activities, which included gun and drug-tracking equal to $1 billion. But by tossing a string of roadblocks holding back the project, Obama administration officials helped Hezbollah to grow into a major global security threat bankrolling terrorist and military operations, the report added.

Politico Bombshell Nobody Will Read: Obama Let Hezbollah Run Cocaine Into the U.S.

Politico Bombshell Nobody Will Read: Obama Let Hezbollah Run Cocaine Into the U.S.

Read

“In 2008, the DEA launched ‘Project Cassandra’ to track Hezbollah’s trafficking of drug and weapons, money laundering and other criminal activities, some of which were happening in the U.S. As Project Cassandra carried on, the Obama administration threw a series of roadblocks in its way, Politico reported Sunday. When investigators sought approval for prosecutions, arrests, and financial sanctions, the Justice Department and Treasury Department officials delayed, hindered, or denied their requests, the report said.

“‘This was a policy decision, it was a systematic decision,’ Defense Department illicit finance analyst David Asher said. ‘They serially ripped apart this entire effort that was very well supported and resourced, and it was done from the top down,’” and it was all to make sure the Iran deal didn’t get “derailed.” Now, the Iran deal is Obama’s grand achievement of ensuring that the Iranians will secure nuclear weapons in less than 10 years, if they’re not already on the precipice. In order to not derail that, Obama told his Justice Department and Treasury department to stop pursuing Hezbollah as they’re running cocaine into the U.S. conducting money laundering.

LabMD Appeal Has Privacy World Waiting

Read

It is the case that could define the scope of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s authority in data security.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit heard argument six months ago in LabMD, Inc. v. Federal Trade Commission. As readers of this blog know, the case turns on what kind of consumer harm is required for the agency to maintain a data security enforcement action.

Yet, for a case with such potentially broad implications, it doesn’t involve a high-profile data breach with millions of protected healthcare records roaming freely in the digital ether. Nor does it involve a single instance of identity theft or untoward use of patient information.

Attorney Lisa Bloom sought to line up paydays for women accusing Trump of sexual misconduct

Read

Legal powerhouse Lisa Bloom tried to line up big paydays for women who were willing to accuse President Trump of sexual misconduct during the final months of last year’s election, according to an explosive report.

The Hill reported Friday that Bloom worked with campaign donors and tabloid media outlets to arrange compensation for the alleged victims and a commission for herself, offering to sell their stories. In one case, Bloom reportedly arranged for a donor to pay off one Trump accuser’s mortgage and attempted to score a six-figure payment for another woman. The former ultimately declined to come forward after being offered $750,000, the clients told The Hill.
