Gregg Jarrett: If Rod Rosenstein defies Trump’s order to declassify documents, he should be fired

Gregg Jarrett: If Rod Rosenstein defies Trump’s order to declassify documents, he should be fired

President Trump has ordered that numerous documents involving the Russia investigation be declassified.  The records have long been sought by Congress under lawful subpoenas.  Yet, the FBI and Department of Justice have consistently obstructed the release of these materials under the guise of “classified” secrets.  This is a convenient alibi all too frequently employed to cover-up wrongdoing and abuse of authority by those we entrust to uphold the law.

Let’s face it, the Democrats pick bad poster children.

Michael Brown, Jr is the face of the Black Lives Matter movement. And Hillary Clinton ,the wife of a rapist appears to be the mother of the modern-day Women’s Movement. On a real life field of dreams Steve Scalise ‘goes the distance’

No matter what side of the political aisle you’re on, you couldn’t help but root for the team led by House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., when players took to the field for the annual charity baseball game between House Democrats and Republicans this week. The game took place exactly one year to the day after Scalise nearly lost his life when he was shot by a gunman while practicing for last year’s game with his Republican teammates.  Scalise’s journey back to the baseball field over the last year has been nothing short of miraculous. It’s been reminiscent of the movie “Field of Dreams” and the divine voice that whispered “Go the distance.”

As Robyn Gritz found out, he’s not a gentleman.

In April 2015, National Public Radio reported on the case of former FBI Special Agent Robyn Gritz who had been forced out of the bureau after she “got crosswise with her supervisors.”  “When you’re fighting terror and you’re seeing buildings come down before you, you’re passionate and you’re emotional, and I think the American people want you to be that way when you’re fighting terror and keeping them safe,” she said.

Crumbs!

The Patriot’s Editorial:

All of us have heard the saying: ‘One man’s junk is another man’s treasure’ and that is certainly true when it comes to ‘Crumbs’! Nothing could have put this into perspective more than the recent political statement regarding company bonuses immediately following the tax cut. So, I thought it might be enlightening to examine this ‘junk versus treasure’ comment to determine what was really said and why. Read More »

Distasteful Behavior: What’s in a Word or Words?

The Patriot’s Editorial:

In this ‘It’s All About Me’ world we live in, people believe they have the right to say whatever comes to mind. That includes: saying/writing anything to hurt, impugn or punish someone they disagree with. After listening to it in ‘ad nauseam’ for the paste couple of years, I thought I would try to make some sense of it. Read More »

Challenges of Draining the………………What?

The Patriot’s Editorial:

What does ‘Draining The Swamp’ actually entail? That seems to be the million dollar question simply because new revelations about the depth and magnitude of problems in Washington seem to grow exponentially by the hour. Trying to make sense of this, and figure out what swamp draining involves, has proven to be a convoluted mess and thus, difficult to sort out. Like the ecosystem, many things are going on at once and all have to be addressed and corrected before all negative ‘cause and effect’ issues are eliminated. So, you can not just fix one thing without fixing something else. The obstacles to ‘Draining the Swamp’ are (but not limited to): Read More »

More Clinton connections have emerged for members of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigative team, amid growing Republican complaints about potential bias inside the office created to lead an independent probe.

On Friday, The Wall Street Journal reported that Mueller investigator Andrew Weissmann, a former partner at WilmerHale, attended Hillary Clinton’s election night party last November at the Javits Center in New York City. Fox News reported earlier this week that Weissmann in January also praised outgoing acting Attorney General Sally Yates, after she was fired for refusing to defend President Trump’s travel ban.

GOP Rep. Writing Bill To Prevent Lawmakers From Pulling a “John Conyers”

Read

Following reports of Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) using tax dollars to settle sexual harassment claims, Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is crafting legislation that would unseal all sex settlement records and ban the use of tax dollars to pay the claims.

“Settlements paid with tax dollars should not be kept secret. Members of Congress cannot be allowed to use the American people’s money as a personal slushfund to cover wrongdoing. I’m working on legislation to unseal settlement records, bar use of tax dollars to pay claims against members & staff, prohibit members from using office budgets to camouflage payments (a Conyers rule) & require reimbursement of the taxpayer,” tweeted DeSantis on Wednesday.
