CBS NEWS BOMBSHELL: MARJORY DOUGLAS STUDENT LEADER WASN’T AT SCHOOL ON DAY OF THE MASS SHOOTING (VIDEO)

A new documentary by CBS News reveals that Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg, who has become the face of the student body’s push for gun control, was not at the school at the time of the shooting.  The bombshell comes from David Hogg himself, who made the admission to a CBS News interviewer as part of the documentary “39 Days.” The program chronicles the birth of the student-led “Never Again” movement that culminated in the “March for our Lives” in Washington D.C. on Saturday.

WATCH: Parkland Student Complains Clear Backpacks Infringe On His Constitutional Rights

On Friday, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School left-wing activist David Hogg complained that the school’s new policy of making students use only clear backpacks after spring break infringes on his “First Amendment rights.”  Grabien News reported “Hogg appeared Friday at a gun control forum with Axios’s Mike Allen,” where he launched into varying off-topic political tirades, advocating for far-left Democratic positions.

‘USA not NRA!’: Students’ rallying cry to half a million anti-gun protesters at historic March For Our Lives in DC, as George and Amal Clooney and a host of famous faces join them in a day of global action

Hundreds of thousands of people from around the world turned out for March For Our Lives events against gun violence on Saturday in a coordinated global protest that was organized by the teenage survivors of the Parkland massacre.   The main event was held in Washington DC where survivors from Stoneman Douglas High School gave passionate speeches calling for gun reform.   They were joined by a raft of stars including George and Amal Clooney, who donated $500,000 to the event, Jimmy Fallon, Steven Spielberg, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus.

Conservative student and Parkland shooting survivor Kyle Kashuv sat down with CBS Face the Nation today to discuss the March For Our Lives and what could have been done differently to save lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Kashuv had some had some harsh criticism for the Broward County Police Department, or as he calls them, the “cowards of Broward.”

Not Always Like This

One of the unavoidable tragedies of youth is the temptation to think that what is seen today has always been. Nowhere is this more noticeable than in our responses to the recent Parkland, Florida, massacre. Part of the responses to those murders are calls to raise the age to purchase a gun and to have more thorough background checks — in a word, to make gun purchases more difficult. That’s a vision that sees easy gun availability as the problem; thus, the solution is to reduce that availability.

David Hogg: “Our Parents Don’t Know How To Use A F*cking Democracy, So We Have To”

The Outline interviewed David Hogg, a 17-year old survivor of the shooting in Parkland, Florida, who says he is the NRA’s “worst nightmare.” Hogg’s interview was laced with profanity against his detractors, Gov. Rick Scott, the NRA, old people and others.  Watch the march live   Hogg said he became an activist because adults don’t know how to “use a f*cking democracy”:  “When your old-ass parent is like, ‘I don’t know how to send an iMessage,’ and you’re just like, ‘Give me the fucking phone and let me handle it.’ Sadly, that’s what we have to do with our government; our parents don’t know how to use a fucking democracy, so we have to.”

A New Campus Survey Reveals Just How Students Are ‘Unlearning Liberty’

When presented with a false choice between free speech and inclusivity, they choose the latter.  Six years ago, my good friend Greg Lukianoff, the president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, coined the perfect phrase to describe the state of free speech in American education: “unlearning liberty.” Our educational system is at cross-purposes with the Bill of Rights, teaching students to believe that unalienable rights such as free speech and due process are a problem, especially when they conflict with the demands of social justice or political expediency.
