Trump signs executive order to stop family separations at border

President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order to allow children to stay with parents caught crossing the border illegally — moving to stop the family separations that have triggered a national outcry and political crisis for Republicans.  The measure would allow children to stay in detention with parents for an extended period of time. This comes as congressional Republicans scramble to draft legislation to address the same issue, but face challenges mustering the votes. In signing the measure, Trump said he wants to keep families together while also enforcing border security. He vowed his administration’s “zero tolerance” policy for illegal immigration would continue.

UN poverty report blasting Trump, US for ‘hatred for the poor’ uses data from last year of Obama’s presidency

A recent United Nations report blasting President Trump and America in general for harboring “contempt” and “hatred for the poor” is based on highly inaccurate data that can’t easily be used to compare the U.S. to other nations.  The U.N. report’s main contentions read like an attack on the Trump administration by the Democratic Party: America has 40 million poor people, including 18.5 million who live in extreme poverty; U.S. policies regarding the poor are “cruel and inhuman;” the Trump tax cuts aren’t working and will worsen inequality; and the U.S. needs to spend less on defense of our nation and more on social programs.

Sarah Sanders Makes Laura Bush Regret Trump Attack: Your Husband Signed the Law

The complicated legal entanglements regarding illegal immigrants who get caught trying to bring their children to the United States have been reduced, more or less, to two separate sets of opinions: either separating children from their mothers while their cases are adjudicated is a human rights violation like never before or we should enforce the law until the problems with it are fixed by Congress.

Part of the great irony with the first argument is that many of the luminaries speaking out against enforcing what they see as unjust laws are associated with the individuals who passed the laws in the first place.

Crumbs!

The Patriot’s Editorial:

All of us have heard the saying: ‘One man’s junk is another man’s treasure’ and that is certainly true when it comes to ‘Crumbs’! Nothing could have put this into perspective more than the recent political statement regarding company bonuses immediately following the tax cut. So, I thought it might be enlightening to examine this ‘junk versus treasure’ comment to determine what was really said and why. Read More »

Is ‘Drain The Swamp’ Working?

The Patriot’s Editorial:

Much has been said and written about ‘Making America Great Again’ and ‘Draining The Swamp’! Like many of you, I assumed President Trump’s initiative would be limited to eliminating over-reach regulations, passing new laws and changing mindsets. Little did anyone realize the impact those efforts would have peripherally after just one year. The unforeseen consequences we are beginning to witness are both disturbing and surprising a lot of people. Read More »

Manchin: So, it Looks Like the Tax Bill I Voted Against Will — Um — Help A Lot of West Virginians

Read

Of course it will, Joe.  More than 80 percent of Americans will get a tax cut next year under the new law, with nearly as many taxpayers enjoying relief through at least 2026 (and very likely beyond).  Of the plan’s tiny handful of ‘losers’ (less than five percent), most are high-income earners living in high-tax states who itemize their deductions — as opposed to taking the now-doubled standard deduction, as 70 percent of filers currently do (a number that will grow).  It…doesn’t sound like many West Virginians fit that profile.  Manchin knew all of this, of course, but he voted with Chuck Schumer anyway, just as he’s refused to help Republican Senators confirm a number of highly qualified judges nominated by President Trump.  Confronted with his tax reform vote on local radio, Manchin struggled to defend his decision:

Big List of 168 Trump accomplishments in 337 days

Read

With mainstream media and establishment politicians stacked against him from the moment he announced his run for the presidency, Donald J. Trump has been in an ongoing pitched battle to communicate his plans – and his eventual successes – to Americans. Through public rallies and social media, he has managed to bypass the traditional information gatekeepers and has spoken directly to the people.  Yet, Americans are subjected to a relentless drumbeat from the Democratic Party, amplified by virtually the entire establishment press, that Trump is not only undisciplined, unfit for office and possibly racist, but that embarrassingly little has been accomplished by the Trump administration.

California lawyer Lisa Bloom’s efforts included offering to sell alleged victims’ stories to TV outlets in return for a commission for herself, arranging a donor to pay off one Trump accuser’s mortgage and attempting to secure a six-figure payment for another woman who ultimately declined to come forward after being offered as much as $750,000, the clients told The Hill.

Bryant: Trump ‘Prime Example of Entrepreneurship Whether You’re White or Black’

Read

While Donald Trump campaigned in Miami, Florida late Friday, Sean Hannity spoke with two African-American preachers who have voiced their support for the Republican presidential nominee.

“A prime example for young entrepreneurs white or black is Donald Trump,” Rev. C.L. Bryant said on Hannity.

“When Donald Trump said ‘what do you have to lose’, it rang a bell in the black community,” Rev. Darrell Scott said, “It caused [them to] become introspective and contemplative…and say “you know, that guy is right.”

“When they examine…what he has said, [they say] you’re right, what do we have to lose?”

FBI agents had secret ‘insurance policy’ in case Trump won

Read

Just one month into the FBI’s Trump-Russia investigation – and only weeks after the FBI had been given a copy of the anti-Trump dossier in the summer of 2016 – one of the FBI’s top Russian counterintelligence experts discussed an “insurance policy” in the event that then-presidential candidate Donald Trump won election to the White House.  After months of bashing Trump in texts and stating that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton “just has to win,” Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page exchanged a cryptic text concerning a so-called “insurance policy” against a possible Trump win.  On Aug. 15, 2016, Strzok wrote: “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in [Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe’s] office that there’s no way he gets elected – but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40 …”

Former CIA Director Admits “Thoughtful” Intelligence Operation Against Candidate Trump, Now Regrets…

Read

In an otherwise well-buried interview between former interim CIA Director Mike Morell, (the temp director following Petraeus ouster used during initial Benghazi cover), there’s an admission by Morell about the politicized Deep State Intelligence leadership targeting candidate Donald Trump.

What this interview tells CTH is that the Intelligence Community, writ large, is on the precipice of massive institutional change -perhaps high level firings of remaining mid level operators and management- and those who participated in the historic politicization are now attempting to shape an explanation.

Jim Carrey Comes Unglued, Demands Republicans Be “Removed” so Democracy Can Live

Read

Actor Jim Carrey has had some issues staying on the right side of the sanity line for some time now, but what he just tweeted out against President Donald Trump and the Republican Party is bizarre even by his own disturbed standards.

On Wednesday, Carrey tweeted out a drawing of a lawmaker who appears to represent Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, with the following proclamation:

“The GOP and WH have become sinister conclaves of souless traitors, liars and thieves – a gangrene we must remove so democracy can live,” adding the hashtag “#killthebill”

Read

Obama has had an extremely difficult time relinquishing the power he was held as president of the Untied States, as he’s spent every waking moment in recent months obsessing on ways to take out President Trump with his “resistance movement.” Despite now being a civilian, Obama has been holding diplomatic meetings with world leaders, which is a direct violation of the Logan Act and a very serious federal crime. As Obama continues to try to assert his power over President Trump, now a former United Nations ambassador is going rogue, revealing that Obama is now actively engaging in the first coup d’état in Amercican History against a sitting president.

Conservatives See Donald Trump Reviving Constitutional Government

Read

America may soon have a judiciary, Congress, and administration that are more aligned with constitutional principles than they have been in decades, allowing government officials, legal scholars, and lawyers to plan ahead for government under a reinvigorated Constitution.
The United States has not had unified conservative government since the 1920s. In 1929, moderate Republican Herbert Hoover became president, the stock market crashed mere months later, and Hoover’s moderate policies shoved the heavily leveraged American economy further underwater and held it there, inaugurating the Great Depression.

Congress has handed Trump a historic presidential victory

Read

President Donald Trump should give special thanks to two U.S. Senators this Thanksgiving weekend. One is still serving in the Senate, the other recently retired. One is a Republican. The other a Democrat. And what should President Trump be thanking them for? Quite simply they have handed him one of the biggest victories any president could claim in the past 45 years.
